LTL Delivery Requirements
- Inspect all freight upon delivery for damages or loss. If unable to inspect, sign the delivery receipt as “Subject to Internal Inspection.”
- Freight must be accepted if:
- The order is delivered in acceptable condition.
- The order is delivered within specified business hours.
- The order includes pre-approved accessorial services like a liftgate.
- If freight is refused without valid reason, a redelivery fee of at least $150 will apply.
- Delays caused by the consignee may result in storage fees. If storage fees accumulate, Balldome may return the shipment to the sender, incurring:
- The cost of the return shipment.
- Reimbursement for storage fees.
- A 15% restocking fee.
- If a shipment is refused permanently, charges will include:
- The cost of the return shipment.
- A 15% restocking fee.
- Any outstanding fees exceeding the refund amount will be added to the consignee’s account balance.
