LTL Delivery Requirements

  • Inspect all freight upon delivery for damages or loss. If unable to inspect, sign the delivery receipt as “Subject to Internal Inspection.”
  • Freight must be accepted if:
    • The order is delivered in acceptable condition.
    • The order is delivered within specified business hours.
    • The order includes pre-approved accessorial services like a liftgate.
  • If freight is refused without valid reason, a redelivery fee of at least $150 will apply.
  • Delays caused by the consignee may result in storage fees. If storage fees accumulate, Balldome may return the shipment to the sender, incurring:
    • The cost of the return shipment.
    • Reimbursement for storage fees.
    • A 15% restocking fee.
  • If a shipment is refused permanently, charges will include:
    • The cost of the return shipment.
    • A 15% restocking fee.
  • Any outstanding fees exceeding the refund amount will be added to the consignee’s account balance.
